Finland Looks Towards Subterranean Development
In an effort to decrease urban sprawl and maintain a minimal skyline officials in Helsinki have decided to take advantage of a shallow bedrock and break ground on a surprisingly large underground city. Helsinki already boast an underground swimming complex, shopping center and hockey rink. Most projects will connect to one another through an intricate tunnel system.
